Pine Creek Road Flood Repairs
Smart Nine was fortunate to work with CMC on the Pine Creek Road Flood Recovery Emergency Works Project.
As a result of the damage sustained to the road network from the Natural Disaster Ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie, CMC was engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads as a pre-qualified contractor to repair the damaged road network and the associated infrastructure on Pine Creek Road on the Gold Coast.
CMC engaged Smart Nine to assist with Project Management and on site Engineering support for the Project.
The Pine Creek Rd Flood Repairs project involved cutting and filling of the river crossing, the placing of a shotcrete rock wall on both sides, pavement works with an asphalt surface, landscaping works and guardrail installation.
Major quantities included:
- Embankment Fill (compacted) – 2500m3
- Rocks (rock wall boulders, drainage rocks/gravel) – 3200 tonnes
- Concrete (rock wall, grouting, top edge wall) – 250m3
- Cement Treated Base – 1000 tonnes
- Asphalt Base Course (AC20H) – 300 tonnes
- Asphalt Wearing Course (AC14H) – 150 tonnes
- Guardrail (Ramshield) – 240m
