Maroochydore Automated Waste Transfer Station (Delivering an Australian First)
Waste Not, Want Not
Over the past 12 months, Smart Nine Senior Project Manager, Craig Clark has been involved in the construction of the Maroochydore Automated Waste Transfer Station (MAWTS) Project.
It has been great to watch this Australian first development that moves waste from buildings in Maroochydore by vacuum pressure at up to 70kmh through a 6.5km network of underground pipes to a collection station. The collected material will then be transferred to disposal or recycling facilities.
This innovative system removes the need for conventional waste collection trucks to lift wheelie bins.
Well done Craig on another interesting and detailed project, benefitting from your thorough management approach.
